David Gammon
Transcriptors was established in 1960 by founder/engineer David Gammon. He was born in Coventry in 1933 to parents Harriet and Wilfred Gammon. His father was a carpenter and manufactured wooden moulds, and his mother was a school teacher. David also had two brothers and two sisters, Stephen, Anthony, Lilac, and Edith. Edith would go on to be a concert pianist in Vienna.
He would go on to design some of the most thought-provoking turntables and tonearms which in time would be design icons and would be also heavily plagiarise.
